UKULELE BIZARRO - May 21st, 2009 - Montreal - Il Motore - A wunderbar SUCCESS!

Thanks to McAuslan Brewery, Italmelodie, and Indyish for sponsoring the event. Thanks to Martin - the amazing sound man who made our ukulady line-up sound like a dream! Risa Dickens, Miss Dynamite, MEB, Caracol, NIVE, and Krista Muir lit up the stage with their varied ukulele styles! DJ Oahu provided the inter-act music and Lederhosen Lucil was the perfect MC to host and play the event! Cupcake Fairy provided tropical treats (those pineapple squares - to die for!) to make the night complete. And congrats to all the raffle winners - there were many prizes including a brand new concert uke from Italmelodie. Tomorrow nacht I will be hosting the 1st Montreal "Ukulele Bizarro" Festival! It's going to be a crazy evening mit 6 very different ukuladies - RISA DICKENS, MISS DYNAMITE, MEB, CARACOL, NIVE, und KRISTA MUIR! Also door prizes, raffle (for ein neue ukulele!), snack table (mit tropical baked goods by Valerie), Magnum PI Look-a-like contest, und DJ OAHU on the decks, ja! Come aut for cabaret ukulele fun that promises to turn into ein cruise ship style dance party (except mit gut musik!)...Ha ha! JA!
