TOUR PHOTO DIARY - Cape Breton to Rotterdam!
I have been travelling all around Europe this summer and having many adventures. Here are some highlights and photos of mein trip. Mein camera was sadly stolen somewhere in the south of France so there is ein gap between Hossegor und Belgium. If you have soopah photos from the Paris or the Bergen shows please email them to me!
CAPE BRETON
Back in July I rocked out in Hossegor, France (well, Cape Breton really!). Ein small surf town on the coast - super schon indeed. Here I am hosing it up in my pirate hosen mit ein neue addition - an "Edmon" original! My erst on-stage pet...Check out www.edmon.org fur more adorable creature action.
LIEGE
Belgium is ein sehr special platz mit very gut food und super nett personnen. I spieled in Liege at an anarchist bar/cafe called "Carlo Levi." It was ein special nacht complete with ein ballet dance contest to "La Vocabulaire" - here are the winners in action. Also ein show of the peeps at the 'indie store' set up on the pool table. Watch aut for DJ Damie Boy - he organized the show und we couldn't stop dancing because auf his absurdly good DJ action.

Drei (three!) Deutsch boys drove to Liege to see the show!

After Liege was Antwerp und then Brussels where extreme hose action was had. In Antwerp I rocked mit Stijn und Brussels was a mad outdoor Film Festival complete with a helicopter circling above und trams zooming by overhead. Surreal und gut.
I have been spending a lot auf time on das zug going from town to town.

HAMBURG
Finally I made it to Hamburg! I've been trying to spiele there forever und it finally came true last week. Upon arriving I walked around the rainy port - checking out all the cranes und giant cargo vessels. Here ist ein strange image of a misty paradise I came across:

And I just missed an appearance of Tre & Fatlip from das Pharcyde! Poster art ist still alive und well in Hamburg...a town filled with artists und anarchists! Ja! So much of the town ist neue but the alt schule punk rock venue where I played was a piece of the old Hamburg nestled amongst new architecture.

BERLIN
Back in das Berlin I checked aut the Canadian Embassy and heard Tim of Motor Music spiele about das future of indie musik. Here is a nice shot to show you Canadians what your neue Berlin Embassy looks like (my erst time in an embassy) - oooooh...sehr modern...

I love Berlin! It ist truly an amazing city. Every time you turn a corner in pretty much any part of town (except Mitte really - the commercial center - ech) you find the most amazing buildings and cafes and little bars. Even the fire hall ist cool here! Check out these photos...

Running off to ein interview at a really underground internet radio station "recordcastor.de" I passed over this little bridge and saw this:

This town ist mad! All sorts of little canals, lakes, parks...it has it alle! The radio station was in this guys grandmother's house right on the water?! Madness I tell ja! If you have a band und want to get some airplay check aut their site und send them musik.
DUISBURG
O.K. I had no idea Duisburg was going to be so super wunderbar! Can, mein host und owner of uber chouette DJAEZZ was the best. Here ist ein picture of the fruit basket awaiting me in mein dressing room. After the show everyone at the bar got ein piece to go with their bier! Ha ha...

The "Djanes" crew - Rosali, Lisali & Maiki (Fanpop) rocked the house before I spieled with ein gut mix auf electronic funmusik.

Mein cartoon double even came out for das occasion!

ROTTERDAM
After a delicious breakfast I got lost trying to get to Rotterdam. I ended up in Den Haag which felt like Den Hell. Apparently they are fixing the trains in The Netherlands so everything is messed up. After a kind man from Lithuania helped me mit mein keyboard we finally got on a train going back to Rotterdam. Ja! The Bizarre Curieux Festival war seriously kuhl but I missed the Go! Team AGAIN...First at SXSW last year und now Rotterdam. Maybe its lucky three? I was surprised to find a Lucil look-a-like in my dressing room. She made sure I had yummy treats und wasser before the show und acted as mein body double after I spieled. The full moon kept things crazy on stage - bubbles blowing across, country dancers, a spontaneous song sung by a Deutschlander, and a fancy hand-dance contest?!

The next tag I walked around the market und saw the crazy apts - I want to live in one ein tag! Check it aut...

What trip to the Netherlands wouldn't end in ein little trip to see the candyman?

DAS FUTURE
More to come! I will take lots auf pictures in Bavaria, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Portugal, Spain und France! Check aut the tour dates soon for updates!
xo,
Euro-Lucil
