Austin, TX
While getting ready to rock Texas, I have been going through photos from mein und Carolyn Mark's "Stopping und Shopping Tour." We had ein scream stopping at thrift stores, buying fun .50 items, eating highway fare, und rocking out from Hamilton out to Halifax on an 11-show rampage. I managed to sport mein kiwi hosen, pirate hosen, und a bizarre fancy dress with dolphins on it throughout the tour und highlights include making freundlings walk the plank for limited edition vinyl as well as thumb wars, staring contests, und meeting lots of fun local Canadian indie bands!
Here are a few photos from das collection. Most are courtesy of Helen Spitzer, our travelling companion, driver, merch girl, spontaneous back-up singer and uber fan. Danke fur coming on das road mit us Spitzy!

Rocking mein kiwi hosen complete with cricket hat, singlet, und gumboots (can't see them!) alongside Helen Spitzer und her authentic German freund!

These three freundlings braved the London-Hamilton drive fur Lucil-packed action at the Casbah. Danke fur hosing boys!

Wakefield was ein amazing show where we decided who would go first by engaging in ein thumb war. I lost after ein gut start. Here we are singing together in a crazy, beautiful blur!

Local band "Port City All Stars" nearly broke through the floor whooping it up at the Saint John Art Centre. Cute, whip-smart and musically a hoot and a giant holler - ja!

Here is the first plank-walker (danke Carolyn fur that prize winning idea!) at the Saint John Art Centre. Splash!

Another trio of uber Lucil freunds get posing mit it fur mich! The lad in the middle won the lemon pie filling prize last year und was runner up for this years plank-walking contest.

Carolyn, Spitzy und I after the 2nd Saint John show at Studio 112. Gary Flanagan was uber on that night and passed out candy to screaming fans. Here we are on a post-Gary sugar buzz.

Back in Sackville we had a crazy fun show complete with dance party, bizarre prizes and yes...Peter Mansbridge and the CBC's made an appearance! He looks different in person and has a lovely singing voice - rrrer.

The last night on tour was truly a hoot - with a giant dancin' crowd that spilled onto the stage behind me. Here I am givin' er while Carolyn & friends enjoy the show.

On the road back home roadside diners are the perfect spot to stop, eat and draw sketches of your tour buddies. Here's my version of Miss Carolyn Mark and her version of me - Lucil!
