Freundlings! Soiro Bizarro was ein insane amount of fun...The sillotaur made a special appearance, I sported my new acidwash-hosen (yeowch!), rabbid cabbages did the "Ganglion", Wolf Parade smashed cardboard boxes and wowed the crowd, Genevieve et Matthieu made us giggle & rock out to a special Samantha Fox cover, and Krista & Her Imaginary Lads made their concert debut after a mere 5 practices!
The set designed by Louisa blew everyone away - giant pylon, enormo dandy-lions...Plastic Patrick hosted the night in a multitude of flesh-friendly garments...Cleamina told a puppet tale of GMO's that caused the crowd to laugh and weep...the Brazilian drag queen sang us 2 numbers before jetting back to Brazil...and tables by Come As You Are (did you guess what the toys were?) und Anarchist Black Cross (best date squares ever!) mixed everyone up.
Danke to all who came und truly hosed! Can't wait until next summer...

Lucil's second annual Soiro Bizarro takes place in Montreal Saturday, July 26 at La Sala Rossa, 4848 St. Laurent. Hand-picked for your enjoyment are Lucil's friends Genevieve et Matthieu, a hilarious synth-guitar-camp duo from Rouyn Noranda, and locals Wolf Parade, about whom much ado is being made. There will be some Brazilian drag, vegan (and non-vegan) treats, and surprises galore: a surprise host, surprise puppets, surprise sexy things and surprise surprises!
