For those of you who made it to the first ever Soiro Bizarro, danke und WOW! J-Robot, The Quickies, Lucil & her Beta Bunnies all rocked in their own bizarro ways and caused the packed Sala Rossa to shake with conga line, dance scream and freak out action. Roxanne Arsenault of CISM hosted the event - emerging from behind the velvet curtain in a new outfit for every intro and controlling the ravenous crowds during a high impact raffle.

The Anarchist Black Cross Federation raised funds due to the famished and snackworthy crowd who sampled vegan maple cookies, choco chip deluxes, ginger cookies and macaroons. One man was particularly happy and exclaimed "REALLY?" when told he could have a cookie sampler (i.e. one of each...of which there were several varieties) for $2. Go activist bakesale go!

The Church of Craft/Elle Corazon made a wonderful craft corner the home to make potential craftivists and friends of the church (non-religious in nature but religious in meeting weekly for their stitch n' bitches, workshops and craftivism). Commemorative Lucil stick-pins were the featured DIY craft and many excited "clients" went home with re-usable pads, underoos, beautiful jewelery and the like.

Lucil's new costume is already in the works and she may be taking a few courses in whip maintenance and usage this fall. See you next year at the Soiro!

Well, it happened! Friday night at C'est What in Toronto Lucil managed to creep in the back door and played a surprise gig with local country stars the Jane Waynes. While a few locals seemed to have caught the underground beat, many were shocked to see the cottonhosen clad fauxvarian take to the stage. Lucil hopes to bring the Waynes to Montreal in the near future...if these cowfolk can make the long haul on their steeds!
